So this morning I wanted to get a little inventive with my breakfast and wanted a mix of sweet ’n’ salty. I figured I’d try to improvise on a peanut butter and jam sandwich, since who didn’t love eating that as a kid?  Here’s a quick 5 minute recipe that will give you a good source of protein, fibre, and enough carbs to start your Monday morning.


What you need:

20 gr. dry instant oatmeal

1/2 cup water

125 gr 0% fat greek yogurt, plain

2 tsp oat bran

1/2 scoop vanilla whey protein powder

a dash of peanut butter flour (or tsp of peanut butter if you don’t have the flour)

a dash of Crystal Lite Raspberry Ice powder


In a small bowl add the oatmeal and water and put in the microwave for 1 minute. Then add the remaining ingredients and stir. Wallah, done. Enjoy!


Makes one serving.

Calories per serving: 247 calories

29 gr. protein

26 gr. carbohydrates (includes 6 gr fibre)

3 gr. fat
