I’ve always had a sweet tooth and absolutely love ice cream. So, I thought if I can make a relatively healthy dessert that mimics the texture and taste of ice cream, it would be that much easier to stick to my program. And, voila, I created a tropical dessert that has tons of protein, fibre, and tastes delicious!
What you’ll need:
1/2 small avocado, mashed (with fork)
dash of cinnamon
1/8 tsp cocoa
2 packets of low-calorie sweetener (i.e. Sweet n Low, or Stevia)
8 or 100 gr fresh strawberries, sliced
225 gr 0% fat free plain greek yogurt
In a small bowl, add the zest, cinnamon, cocoa and sweetener to the mashed avocado and blend well with a fork.
Stir in the greek yogurt and strawberries. Place in the freezer for 15 minutes.
Calories (1 serving):
28 grams Protein
16 grams Carbohydrates; 5 grams fibre
10 grams Fat
